Pomona High School Counseling Program Vision Statement

The vision of the Pomona High School Counseling Program is to prepare students to transition successfully from high school to post-secondary education and careers in the ever-changing 21st century world. Students will acquire the necessary skills in academic, college/career, and social/emotional development, so they can contribute meaningfully and productively in society. Pomona High School graduates will empower students to advocate for themselves and others, pursue equality and justice, and embrace life-long learning.

The mission of the Pomona High School Counselors is to provide students with equitable access to a Data-driven comprehensive counseling program that supports  students becoming well-rounded in the academic, college/career, and social/emotional domains. We are committed to advocating and removing barriers for students to achieve academic, college & career success along with personal wellness by collaborating and consulting with  administration, faculty, staff, parents/guardians, and the community. Through a Multi-Tier Multi-Domain Systems of support we provide students with data driven interventions that will empower ALL students  to flourish and be productive, responsible, and compassionate members of a diverse society beyond high school.
