Cindy Green, Ed. D
Principal
 

Cindy Green was born and raised primarily in Los Angeles, CA. She moved to West Covina and graduated from Nogales High School during high school. Although she was raised primarily in Los Angeles, a good portion of her life was spent in Pomona with her family. Dr. Green completed her B.A. at Grambling State University located in Louisiana. She began her teaching career immediately following graduation in Shreveport, Louisiana as a General Education Social Science teacher. Upon returning to California in 2001, Dr. Green became a special education teacher at Fremont Middle School in Pomona Unified. She completed her M.S in Counseling as a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) at Cal State Fullerton. During this time, she began working at the special education district office. As a program specialist, Dr. Green was a reading specialist, overseeing the district's secondary special education program for the district and developing the district's first and only Positive Behavior Support program. She became an administrator for the Special Education District office specializing in developing the district's mental health program, which included oversight of the students requiring the most intensive social-emotional and behavioral support, before taking on a position as an Assistant Principal at Garey High School. While transitioning from the special education program to general education, she obtained her doctoral degree in Educational Leadership from Cal State Fullerton. Before becoming Pomona High's Principal, Dr. Green was Principal at Emerson Middle School. She believes that every day is a new day and a new learning opportunity. She is excited about the opportunity to create community through innovation and creativity and eager to see what the future holds for our PHS family.

Takiyah Rogers
Assistant Principal of Instruction & Activities
 
Takiyah Rogers was raised in Rancho Cucamonga, Ca. where she attended Rancho Cucamonga High School. She attended California State University, Northridge (CSUN), earning her Bachelor's degree in English. She then attended Claremont Graduate University, where she received her Master's degree in Education, and has recently completed coursework at National University where she received her Master's in Educational Leadership. Ms. Rogers began working for PUSD in 2010 as an English teacher at Pomona High School. In 2018, she left Pomona High and transitioned into a Teacher on Special Assignment position at Park West High School. Ms. Rogers has recently returned to Pomona High School as an Assistant Principal. She is happy to serve the students and families of this community and believes in doing whatever it takes to help students learn, grow, and achieve.

Michael Sanchez
Michael Sanchez
Assistant Principal of Facilities & Technology
 
Michael Sanchez was born and raised in Pomona & attended all PUSD schools. He went to Barfield Elementary, Palomares Middle School, & Pomona High School. Mr. Sanchez completed his B.S. in Environmental Science from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) & M.S. in Educational Administration at National University. Mr. Sanchez is currently enrolled in a doctoral program at Grand Canyon University, where he plans on earning a Ph. D. in Psychology with an emphasis on Integrating Technology, Learning, & Psychology. Mr. Sanchez has been an educator at Pomona High School since 2016. His roles and responsibilities include overseeing Facilities, Technology, Assessment, and WASC. Mr. Sanchez is the administrator who works closely with the Freshmen Class of 2027. Mr. Sanchez has experienced Pomona High from many perspectives. His goal is to promote an environment where students flourish and develop the skills to make them successful Pomona Community members!

Troy Littlejohn
Assistant Principal of Attendance & Security
 

Troy Littlejohn was raised in Diamond Bar, CA where he attended Pomona Unified schools. He attended Golden Springs, Lorbeer and Ganesha High School. Mr. Littlejohn attended Chapman University, receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. After graduating in 1990, he worked with abused and neglected children at Orangewood Children’s Home while working on his teaching credential in Social Studies. He began working in the Pomona Unified School District in 1998 as a history teacher at Emerson Middle School. He then completed his Master’s Degree in Counseling with an emphasis on Marriage/Family Therapy (MFT) from Argosy University while simultaneously working on an administrative credential from Cal State University, Fullerton in 2010. In 2012, Mr. Littlejohn began working as the Dean of Students at Garey High School. In 2013, Mr. Littlejohn transitioned to a teacher on assignment at School of Extended Educational Options (SEEO). In 2017, Mr. Littlejohn became Assistant Principal at Palomares Academy of Health Sciences. Mr. Littlejohn currently serves as the Assistant Principal at Pomona High School. He has been happily married for twenty-five years. He currently has one son with special needs who is 18 years old. Mr. Littlejohn enjoys teaching Sunday school and serving as his church's director of Christian Education. Mr. Littlejohn believes that EVERY student has potential and we can empower students to become great individuals.

Regina Flores-Dunda
Assistant Principal of Special Education & Intervention
 

Regina Flores-Dunda was raised in New Mexico and Colorado where she attended The Colorado Springs School on a full academic scholarship. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from the University of Colorado - Boulder, a Master’s Degree in Music Education from Boston University, and received her school leadership endorsement from Fort Hays State University. Mrs. Flores-Dunda taught middle and high school vocal music for 15 years before transitioning to an education consultant and district-level instructional coach for Denver Public Schools. She worked in the private sector as the founder of Sol-Via Modern Arts, which focused on arts education, curriculum publications, and professional development from 2009 until her move to California in 2019.  Mrs. Flores-Dunda has served as an assistant principal in Colorado and both assistant principal and principal in California. Mrs. Flores-Dunda has been married for 17 years and has 3 daughters and a grandson. She enjoys singing with the Millennial Choirs and Orchestras, spending time with family, and enjoying the outdoors.  Mrs. Flores-Dunda is fiercely committed to equity and strives to foster an inclusive, belonging culture where all students can reach their full potential - not in spite of, but because of who they are. She is delighted to belong to the Pomona family!

Leonard Hudson
Leonard Hudson
Athletics Director
 
Leonard Hudson currently serves as the Athletic Director at Pomona High.  He also serves as the Head Varsity Football Coach and the Head Varsity Boys Track and Field Coach.  He attended UC Berkeley and Cal State Fullerton after graduating from Pomona High in 1987.  He received a full athletic scholarship to UC Berkeley in the sport of football.  He has been employed by the PUSD for over 20 years.  His vision for Pomona High is to bring back pride throughout the school and community.  Being a part of an extensive alumni network like what we have at Pomona High is very important and endearing to many.  One of his many goals is for our kids to leave here and come back to provide not only guidance but an inspiration for the classes to come.

Brandi Dukes
Activities Director
  Brandi Dukes will serve as the new Activities Director at Pomona High School. Ms. Dukes is from San Diego County and attended Rancho Buena Vista High School in Vista, CA. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Kinesiology from Westmont College and a Master of Arts in Physical Education from Northern Arizona University. She has been a teacher for 27 years. Ms. Dukes spent 11 years teaching elementary PE in Arizona before dedicating 15 years to inspiring students in various subjects at Palomares Academy of Health Sciences, where she also led the Associated Student Body. Now, at Pomona High School, she brings her expertise to the role of Activities Director and looks forward to fostering student engagement and success. Off-campus, Ms. Dukes is a proud parent to three children, two of whom are in college, and one in eighth grade. Her passion for education and student involvement shines as she takes on this new endeavor.

Valerie Leos
Office Manager
 

Valerie Leos grew up in Pomona, attended Philadelphia Elementary, St. Madeleine School, and graduated from Garey High. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work from Cal Poly Pomona.  She worked as a financial counselor in the banking industry before returning to PUSD. Valerie has worked for PUSD for over 25 years. Never would she imagine that she would return to her alma mater and work at the school campus she graduated from.  Giving back to the community is important to her. Hence, as the Office Manager here at Pomona HS, Valerie continues to work with students encouraging them to be successful and to see how valuable they are to make a difference for the better.
