Dear Parents/Guardians:

We regret to inform you of a community matter that affected our Pomona High School campus last night. Pomona Police Department recently concluded investigation of an apparent suicide of an adult male in his mid-20s who accessed the Pomona High School stadium at some point during the night. Police do not suspect foul play as they conclude their investigation. The scene was isolated far from the main campus as students’ class time was not affected. Please be advised that ALL students and staff are safe and accounted for. We have dispatched counselors to support any student and/or staff member in need of counseling support. Again, all students and staff members are safe and Pomona PD has returned the stadium back to site administrators. We expect a smooth and orderly dismissal. Please feel free to contact PUSD’s Public Information Office at 909.397.4480 with any immediate questions, comments or concerns.
